Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management and stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls and procedures.
- Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
